Sergio Scro

Executive Director, Founder

Sergio is our executive director as well as the founder of S.O.G.H. Sergio’s educational background includes a bachelor in International Relations from the University of Westminster and a one-year MA in African Studies from Dalarna University. He is currently pursuing his MSc in Public Health at Karolinska Institute. Sergio has been working as a volunteer in the field of HIV, within the LGBTQ community, in London. He has experience in project planning, data collection and project evaluation.

Sanni Kujala

International Program Director, Co-founder

Sanni oversees our Maama Project in Uganda. With a background in development consulting and project evaluation, she is committed to improving the health of women and newborns through interventions that strengthen local communities. Sanni holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh and she is currently working towards a postgraduate degree in Epidemiology at Karolinska Institute. She has experience from working and living in South Africa, Uganda, United Kingdom and France. 

Clara Nelly Fischer

Treasurer, Co-founder

Clara is a co-founder and treasurer of S.O.G.H. She has a background in health management and holds a bachelor’s degree from Carinthia University of Applied Sciences in Austria. She has experience in health consulting and she has been involved in several projects in the field of environmental sustainability, migration politics (EU-migration project) and health promotion. She is currently a Master student in Public Health Sciences at Karolinska Institute.

Daniel Helldén

Events and Partnership Manager

Daniel is a medical student at the Karolinska Institute. He has experience in event management, fundraising and board work. He is also in charge of cooperation and partnerships with student organizations such as IFMSA and IIMC. By being involved in organizations that increase the possibilities for medical students to get experience within the field of global health, he wants to broaden the perspective of the medical field and put global health on the agenda.
