Wasim has a master of public health (MPH) degree from Lund University and a bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing from Manchester University, Indiana, United States. He has 11 years of experience in managing different projects for different international non-governmental organizations, for example, Blumont, CARE International, Oxfam G.B, and the World Bank in Jerusalem and the West Bank. Wasim has also an intensive experience in supporting local NGOs in the MENA region and Sweden particularity in the areas of strategic planning and organization development.
As a result of Wasim’s master thesis that focused on the living experiences of Arabic-speaking immigrants using digital primary healthcare applications in Scania, Sweden, he established with a Swedish local NGO in Scania region a health program that aims to enhance the accessibility and equity of different socio-economic groups to several national electronic Swedish healthcare platforms. He is currently leading a COVID-19 vaccination program campaign in collaboration with Lund municipality and several governmental and non-governmental bodies.
