Research and Grants Manager
Valentina is currently a post doc scientist at the department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. After her Master studies in Medical Biotechnology in Milan, Italy, she moved to Sweden for a PhD in Immunology, from which she recently graduated. In the last five years she has been working in both pharmaceutical companies and academia laboratories as researcher in the vaccinology field, mostly dealing with Ebola and Influenza vaccines and recombinant viral vectors. In 2017 she has been enrolled in the distance learning MSc program in Global Health Policy with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. During her studies she gained interest in public health in the field of infectious diseases prevention and control and she is motivated to use her knowledge and skills to improve global health of communicable diseases. Valentina joined the SOGH team as Research and Grants Manager in 2018 and she believes that this involvement will improve her experience and collaborations with non-governmental/international organizations.
