Menstrual Health Project Manager
Nora is a first year student in the Masters of Public Health Sciences, Health Promotion and Prevention track at Karolinska Institutet. She has a background in pharmacy and work experience in medical chemistry and community pharmacy. However, her strong interest in politics and gender issues led her to the field of global and public health early in her career. Before coming to Sweden, she did an internship at Miguel Hernández University, where she also took some courses on cooperation to development. Nora was involved in projects related to NCD reduction in low and middle-income countries, with a strong focus on inequities in health.
She believes research with a gender perspective is essential in every field of knowledge. In the future, she would like to pursue a PhD within the field of Global Health and women’s sexual and reproductive health in particular.
Nora joined SOGH in September 2019 as the Menstrual Health Project manager, a shared position with Carolina. She will use this opportunity to apply her training in a practical way, but also and most importantly, to improve young girls’ menstrual health and relationship with their bodies.
