Linet graduated with a master’s degree in Global health from Uppsala university in 2019. While in Uppsala, she served as a board member and event’s organizer for Uppsala local Network For future Global Leaders (NFGL) for Sustainable Development Goals.
She currently lives in Lund, Sweden and Originally from Kenya. Prior to perusing her master’s degree, she had been working in Kenya for the past over Nine years. She worked for ministry of health and three international non-governmental organizations where she held key positions in projects that dealt with maternal, newborn, child health and Adolescent Nutrition (MNCHAN), Agri-Nutrition, water sanitation and hygiene, social determinants of health, behavior change & communication and health systems strengthening among others.
She has a back ground in Foods, Nutrition & Dietetics and Public Health. She also has a post graduate diploma in project management. She has experience in systems thinking, strategic planning, programme design & development and advocacy in health. Linet is particularly passionate about implementation research-developing evidence-based strategies and solutions in the areas of MNCHAN, maternal mental health and currently food systems and planetary health.
Joining SoGH as the Mama and Family project manager, opens an opportunity for her to share, learn, and amplify her passion of transforming the lives of mothers and children in Mayuge District, Uganda through health promotion and advocacy among other strategies.
She looks forward to contributing to SOGH’s mission and achievement of its goals.
