What is required for all positions?

All positions are volunteer-based and require participating to board meetings twice a month. The amount of hours dedicated to the position varies depending on the position, specific tasks and/or period of the year. However, all managers are expected to take full responsibility for their role and complete their tasks. Nevertheless, flexibility is at the core of our team, so we always support each other when needed.

Who are we looking for?

A person based in Stockholm who has leadership skills, is confident in taking responsibilities and making decisions, and is very good in time and tasks management. At least two years of commitment in this position are necessary to ensure continuity and stability for the organization. Previous experience in working with non-profit organizations is a plus, but not a requirement, as well as knowledge in planetary health topics.

The position’s responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • working closely with the vice-director(s)
  • overseeing all SOGH activities and partnerships
  • routinely having meetings with partners
  • developing a long-term strategy
  • producing and updating all the documentations needed internally and externally, including leading on the annual report
  • supervising and supporting all the other managers

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for two bloggers who are very creative, have very good writing, and possibly media, skills, and enjoys talking about global and planetary health topics to engage and inform people, always with an ethical and critical eye. Previous experience in communications and/or blog writing/v-blog are a plus, but not a requirement, as well as knowledge in global health topics. However, good proficiency in English, spoken and written, is a must.

The position’s responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • writing/creating blogs/v-blogs for SOGH website rountenly 
  • collaborating closely with the communications team
