Abigail Sitsope Sepenu

Research and Grants Manager

Abigail is currently pursuing a Certificate of Achievement in Fundraising Strategies and Fundamentals of Project Management distance program from Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley. She has a master’s in Global Health from Uppsala University, Sweden and a bachelor’s in Physiotherapy from the University of Ghana. During her program at Uppsala University, Abigail worked with Uppsala SDG for Future Global Leaders as a board member and organizer. Prior to being awarded the Swedish Institute Scholarship, she worked at The Trust Hospital Company Limited as head of the hospital’s physiotherapy department. With her passion for women and children’s health promotion, Abigail carried out a project titled ‘Fit2Push Africa’ in the Volta region of Ghana, aimed to prevent maternal and child deaths, for which she was awarded a scholarship to participate in the Women Leaders in Global Health Conference in 2018. As part of the project, she collaborated with Mother’s Delivery Kits, a Nigerian NGO, to supply safe delivery kits for her project participants. Abigail has high hopes that the world will celebrate yet another historic success from the Sustainable Development Goals, and is fully committed to contributing her part to this success. This is her motivation for joining SOGH.
